00 Want more Treehouse? Check out our YouTube exclusive shows at youtube.com slash at Treehouse on Air. It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley along with Trey Trinholm. Oh boy, it's going to be packed today. I have no doubt about that. But apparently, Trey, we need to start with something. Some major education. I didn't know that I needed this education, but apparently I do. What's the difference between a situationship and friends with benefits?

46 Not sure I have the answer to that just yet. So let's dive into this. You don't want to talk about me crapping myself? And I told you I had to reset the number, you know, my sign for number of days spent without crapping myself to.... Somehow, I missed that nugget. Right before we started, you said, hang on a minute, and then you ran out of the room, and you left your mic open so I could hear everything. It was kind of like... I didn't hear the last part, but I did hear the toilet lid hit the bowl, so I knew he was going number two. Thankfully, I didn't hear anything after that. It wasn't.

31 And that wasn't it. It was on Saturday. I can't even say that my bowels betrayed me because I really betrayed myself. You knew better. You knew better. And you still had a poopsie daisy. So I've mentioned this before. I am not a regular person. So I have to take things to help. go. And I'm normally very cognizant of the fact of the, you know, the mornings when I have taken something, I need to watch my, what I do stay close to a toilet for the morning and, uh, and especially monitor physical activity.

16 Um, and, uh, no deep lunges or heavy squats. Uh-huh. Yeah. And, uh, so I had gone once cause usually they're at least, uh, a couple of, uh, of movements before things are all cleared out on these days. And I had one and I don't know what happened, but I decided, well, you know what? I'm just gonna go for a walk. And then I started walking. I'm like, man, it feels so good out. I'm gonna go for an extended walk. Like I went all the way over from where I live to lemon Avenue down lemon Avenue. So a good, about a two and a half, three mile walk.

11 It was at about probably right around the second mile, uh, that, uh, as I'm winding the corner from lemon to on Wycliffe and, uh, That's when I first feel the rumbles. And I'm going, oh, Trey, what have you done? You got the bubble guts. Oh, it started. And I am in no man's land as far as I have already gone past like the 7-Eleven. And I'm at a point where there's no turning back.

53 The nearest option is home. This is the sequel to Homeward Bound that I didn't know we needed. Just turn the franchise on its head and it's a whole new version of it. Instead of a dog and a cat trying to make it home, it's Trey just trying to see if he can make it home to the toilet. And I am clenched walking. And then I feel like, okay, I start to get a little cocky and thinking I'm going to make it. And Mighty, one of the things that's really bothering me at this point is I'm on major roads. So if I do have an accident, it's, it's going to be on the internet.

39 You're going to be on the Dallas, Texas TV account before you can even wipe. Yeah. And, but I, I, so I, I going down, take a ride. I'm on Cedar Springs and then I get across the street and I'm, I'm almost home. I'm at least close enough that I think if something does happen, I'm going to make it. At least there'll be no public shaming. So close. And I'm so close. And then. Anything's possible. And then... I had to climb steps. And it is really hard to step and clinch at the same time.

33 Which step did it loose? It's about the third one of two flights of stairs. Did you stop at the bottom of the stairs and think, Oh no, I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this. Oh yeah. Cause it did. I, all the feelings were coming back. Like it was, it was, impending. And yeah, I, I got about the third step and just that little, just, it wasn't, it wasn't bad. Nothing was running down my leg or anything like that, but just enough that you knew I am 52 years old and I've crapped my pants.

16 Just throw yourself off the stairs. Yeah. That's, uh, so then it was just, it was some hopping, clinching, hopping, scooting, but made it home with only, only, you know, no, no true public shame or anything, but with the very sad knowledge that I had to reset the counter. Yeah, it does suck. Cause now I know what you, yeah. Like the little, it's like they used to have, like it's been X number of days since our last emergency or whatever. And you have to take it all down. Start back at zero. Yeah. Well, the good news is you're on day two now.

58 Uh-huh. Yeah. Two days. Now I'm in two days. We'll get you a two-day chip. For me, it's now been over a year, so I'm very proud. Very proud of myself. Don't get cocky like I did. No, no. There have been a couple of times where I was like, nope, nope, don't do it, Dan. Don't do it. Don't do it. I'm normally so good about it, too. I'm normally... Because I'll think, okay, go to the gym. I'm like, kettlebell swings would probably not be wise right now. Anything straining, no. So, yeah. But I forgot myself Saturday and paid the price.

41 Wow. That would have been bad too. Because the streets you're talking about are high traffic areas. And it's not a highway. So people are going slow enough to know. And I guarantee you, Some other fellas noticed your walk. If I was driving by at that time, I would have been like, that guy's got to poop. That guy's trying to make... Had I seen you, obviously I know you, but had I just been some other random guy, I would have been tempted to be like, you need a ride, bud? Like, buddy, you need some help? Like, how far away are you? I can help you. The downside is, I don't want you shitting in my car. Yeah. And now this is how we've met.

22 And the back of my mind, I'm also going, oh, wouldn't this be great if my ex drives by right as I crap myself? That would make her lifetime. So, yeah, that was the excitement of my weekend. So now. When your first bubble happened and you realized, oh, no, did you have your phone with you? Did you think about pulling up and see if you could get an Uber back home? It crossed my mind. You've never wanted to see a lime bike more. Uh, it, it crossed my mind. And then I said it hit. And then, and then it kind of subsided where I thought, okay, I think I can, I can get there.

16 Yeah. Um, in hindsight, false sense of security. Yeah. But, and I, I think the weight would have been long enough, uh, to get an Uber where I've been like, uh, six to one, half a dozen the other. Knowing my luck, I'd get in the Uber and then I'd end up having to pay the $ 300 cleaning fee because I crapped in the back of the car. And it is tough. He's like, any special instruction for the Uber driver? Yeah, don't stop. And I'm not meeting you at a point. I'm just going. So I just need you to go by and then honk. I'll know it's you and I'll just jump in and we'll just keep on going. Because if you stop, it's all going to be over. And it was. I feel for you, buddy.

03 It happens. It happens. It truly, truly does. Right up there with one of the all-time great sayings. Yeah. Pretty sure Plato even would agree with you on that one. Okay, so that was your Saturday. I'm glad you're past it now. But speaking of your ex, there is something that we do need to go back to. And that is this particular predicament. I drove 25 minutes at almost 1am to pick up my situation ship because he begged me to only for him to cancel when I was four minutes away. What in the actual F?

50 And this does lead to a question that you posed. What is the difference between a Friends with Benefit and Situationship? I don't know. I just thought Situationship was Gen Z's renaming of Friends with Benefits, thinking they discovered something new and then giving it a new name like they kind of do. I feel like for them it's Situationship's are like the friends with benefits, but you kind of, at least one of them catches feelings. I guess, I guess to me, a situation chip, since it's not friends with benefits to me would be like, just what you and I would just refer to as dating.

40 Like you're not exclusive, I guess. I, well, because honestly, up until about 15 minutes ago, Friends with Benefits and Situationship I thought were the same, just two different labels with two or three different generations. I mean, Friends with Benefit to me is just something that you usually decide to, yeah, screw every now and then. I feel like Situationships, it's almost like relationships, they know they're going to be bad, but they can't help themselves, but they're on again, off again. I don't know. I feel like, as is with everything with Gen Z, It's just more complicated.

22 Yeah, and unnecessarily so. Okay, so I just typed it in like a very Gen X thing to do is I just typed it into Google's AI and said, what's the difference between friends with benefits versus situationship? The Google machine came back with friends with benefits arrangement is a mutually agreed upon dynamic between platonic friends who had a casual physical connection without romantic expectations, whereas a situationship is an undefined romantic limbo that mimics a real relationship without actual commitment or clear boundaries. Okay, so to me, situationship is just dating.

02 That's what it is. It's just dating. You're not committed. You're just kind of there doing whatever you're doing. It's dating. All right, now I know the difference, at least according to Google. Here's the thing, though. The way you define it may be different than the way somebody else defines it. And that's all that really matters. It doesn't matter what Merriam-Webster defines it as. It doesn't matter how Trey or even I define it. All that matters is how you and the person you're with, not with, define it. That's the only people that matter when it comes to defining. Because trust me, you can crack open a dictionary like in a book the way Trey and I know how to do or pull it up on dictionary.com and show your person the difference in the definition but i guarantee you in that moment they don't give a flying f what the definition says in the palm of your hand it just matters what their feet let's get back to this situation i genuinely don't think i've ever been so disrespected by a man in my life and i need to rant because what the actual f so i 27 year old female met this guy on tinder about a month and a half ago we've hung out and hooked up several times and honestly the chemistry's been fantastic great banter great flirting super attracted to each other. We were both very upfront from the beginning that neither of us was looking for anything serious, just something casual, fun, and mutually enjoyable. Perfect. No expectations, no strings attached, no drama, or so I thought. I hadn't seen him in a few weeks because I'd been sick, but we'd still been texting, flirting, chatting here and there. We actually had plans to get

33 together last night. He was working late, supposed to let me know when he got off so we could meet up, and he never texted. Whatever. Annoying, but I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it. Fast forward to Halloween. He messages me telling me how much he's missed me. I jokingly respond with something along the lines of clearly not that much considering you never reached out last night. He apologizes saying he was working and says he really missed me and tells me he's free right now. If I want to see him, it's already late. I'm getting ready to wash my makeup off and go to bed. So I'm not particularly interested in going anywhere. Then he asked if I can come pick him up. I'm like, pick you up. What do you mean? He's downtown trying to get an Uber home, but because it's Halloween, they're either unavailable or costing 50 to 60 bucks. He tells me he'd give me some cash for gas. He'd really love to see me, and it would be a huge help if I could get him. She says, I say no.

22 I'm not in the mood to drive anywhere. I'm about to call it a night. Continue chatting, flirting. Keeps bringing up the idea of me coming to get him. Eventually, I cave. I'm thinking, okay, I like this guy. We haven't seen each other in a while. Blah, blah, blah. Ask for his location. He's 25 minutes away. I tell him I'm in the car and heading his way. He's thrilled. So off I go. At almost one in the effing morning on Halloween, He tells me to pick up a grown man. Actually, never mind. That's what he says. She says, I'm about six minutes away when I check my messages and he sees actually never mind. She says, I'm four minutes away from you. No response. I call him. Let's ring twice and since it's a voicemail, same thing. So basically lots of drama on from there. and she's just really hurt and baffled. How do you treat another human being like that and just go about your night? Well.

28 Yeah, you have every right to be pissed. Sure. And really probably shouldn't see the guy again. There are two options here. Number one, he was so drunk that. All of a sudden an Uber, he forgot you were coming to get him and he just got an Uber and left or number two, there's someone there. There's another one of you out there that got there first. That's my answer. That's it. I'll tell you right now. That's what happened between Trey and myself. We have almost a hundred years. Oh, wait. Yeah. Yeah.

08 We've got like 98 years of experience in this. Someone got there before you did because he didn't know who was going to say yes. And it sounds to me like the person he really wanted to come pick him up somehow got there before you did. And that's who he went home with. I don't know that it really wanted to pick him up. I think as she, she said, no, first, Remember, she had said no, and then at that point, he's sending somebody else the same thing. Could be.

49 I mean, the other option, if it was Dallas, he got shot. Was he in Deep Ellum? I got bad news, honey. Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. Daniel, part of the roofing process is knowing about ventilation and how important that can be to the life of the roof. That's something you guys look at. It's not just about shingles. Absolutely, Dan.

31 A lot of homeowners underestimate the amount of attic heat buildup that their home has affects their AC system, affects their roof condition long-term, affects just overall their home. And so when we come out, we make that assessment with the homeowner. We try to educate them, make sure they have the proper ventilation. There is a calculation of this. We walk them around. If they're interested in going around, we show them what their intakes look like, what their exhaust system looks like. And try to make the best fit for their home. So that's a very common thing that we do. And it should be done every time you have construction done at your property. You need to be educated on what's happening and why. And if you've ever dealt with a roofing contractor that didn't have a conversation with you about ventilation underneath that roof, then you need to call Daniel Cook at 833-COOK-DFW. 20:30 Also on social media at cookdfw. We are also on social media at treehouseonair.com. He is Trey. I am Dan. This is the Treehouse Show. We are back in it now. Today is Tuesday. That's right. Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. It's a pretty good day, man. You ready? I'm ready. Kendall Jenner is 31. Kendall Jenner, 31. She's one of the only of the Kardashian clan with a semi real job.

10 She's the one that's a bonafide model. And I think she's one of the few with her original face. I get them all confused. Is it Kylie that has the makeup brand and all that stuff? Yeah. She's the one that is the youngest quote unquote self-made billionaire. It's not even true. She's not self-made anything. Yeah. So Kylie is the one that is now super hot when it comes to money and looks. Despite the fact that you see what she looked like at 16, you'd be like, how did that turn into that? And it's called amazing plastic surgery connections. But I truly believe this.

54 I think Kendall might be the only Kardashian Jenner, whatever that is actually on her original face. I mean, Chloe's on like face number five right now. Kim's on like, who to three hers have been more subtle changes. Um, but Kylie, you know, this just disturbs me. Well, you know what, Trey, I've, I've had to do a lot of show prep in my time, uh, for, for the radio show. And I'm, I've also, it was a running bit on the Russ Martin show that I hated Kim Kardashian and thought she was a whore. Uh, And so because of that, I stayed up to date with some of it because occasionally Russ would ask me about it.

38 So like, fine, I'll, I'll stay up to date on Kardashian crap, even though, and I'm proud to say, I've not seen one second of the show. I still, I find it just mind boggling that they have amassed as much wealth and popularity as they have for doing nothing, absolutely being, having no talent whatsoever, at least With the Jenner girls, they had model looks. Kendall, yeah. I didn't think Kylie was pretty hot. I mean, I don't know. I get them. Do yourself a favor. Go right now into your little palm Google. Do Kylie Jenner before after image.

28 I'll wait. Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay. Find it. Yeah. That's a big difference, right? Big difference. I mean, after is hot, though. I'm not saying the work is poor. The work is excellent. I'm just saying. She at least came up with a makeup brand. Didn't she come up with a makeup brand and all that crap? No, her mama licensed her. That's all they do. All they do is licensing stuff. It's like she didn't start anything. All right, never mind then. They all suck. They do. They all suck. And I'm a thousand percent envious of it. Absolutely. But at the same time, it also came at the tip of Ray J's dong. So given the choice of the matter, I think I'll take my current lot in life versus on the receiving end of Ray J's dong.

20 Ray J got screwed on that one. He should have been the star of that show. But in Kardashian fashion, whatever was in there, she took out of him like the succubus she is and distributed it to the family. And then Chloe's done it. I mean, look how much she ruined Lamar Odom. Look, look, look at the, look at the, the, the, the trail of bodies behind Kim. Like Miles Austin was on his way to being like maybe a ring of honor wide receiver. He, he went out with Kim Kardashian a handful of times and.

01 Trust me, she dates my favorite F1 driver and it's been, I mean, he's actually, the theory is, is that it's the double negative theory because you have Kardashian plus he drives for Ferrari who just inherently and dumbfoundingly make the dumbest decisions ever. So it's like two negatives have equal to positive and he's actually had a pretty good year. It's only a matter of time though. If he eats wall, you're going to know why. Yeah. It's because he ate ass. Or vice versa. Other birthdays today. So Kendall Jenner, 31. Colin Kaepernick is 39.

49 Former 49ers quarterback who reached a Super Bowl, later became known for national anthem protests. And how I remember him best as the guy who was wearing pig socks. while claiming like defending his pig socks to the media, uh, like, like a, like a pig wearing a police hat. Yeah. And then he was trying to say that it was okay for him to wear those in protest. Uh, because while it's not all cops, it's these cops, it's like you're wearing pig socks, you're offending all of them. I think that is one of the most fascinating things because at the time where he started the protest, there were a lot of things going on that you could argue needed to, you know, that he brought attention to.

39 And I think if he, I'll say two, three weeks into it, if he went, okay, I've made my point and he knocked it off, I think he probably still plays. Could be, but he didn't. And, you know, I, I, I don't think there's any doubt that the NFL blackballed him. Because you could argue that he was a product of Harbaugh and the scheme and everything else, but you look at some of the people that played instead of him, and you go, yeah, he could have definitely still played. We know. We know what happened. He absolutely got shunned by the league. Other birthdays to date. Sticky Fingers is 53.

31 He's a rapper with Onyx. That's just a great name. There's a name. Hell, Onyx. Yeah. Signature hit, Slam. Yeah. I still remember that one. Did they have another one? No, that's pretty much it. I don't even know if they had other songs. Yeah. As far as I know, that's the one. But you know what? That was at a time, all you needed was one and you're set for life. Yeah, very, very true. I mean, we're in Mariah Carey season right now, and she's proof of it. Now, granted, she's had amazing success with all her songs and music, but she only needed to have the one, and that is All I Want for Christmas, and it's now Mariah Carey season. She's going to make $ 6 million between now and the end of the year, and that's the only song she ever really needed.

25 Yeah, she'll do like one specialty. And she does like the Christmas tour every year, I guess. She goes and does some selected dates and she sings a few songs and she makes tons of money on the royalties on that song. Comedian Bert Kreischer, 54. Not only is he known as being a comedian who would perform shirtless, but his story, The Machine. And if I remember right, was he. The one that made. The ranch water drink famous? Who was it that made the tequila soda famous and lost weight or something? Was it him? I don't know. Okay.

07 We'll just keep going then. Karch Karai is 66. You know that name? I know the name. How do. Sports? Yep. Tennis? You're close. Tennis on sand. Volleyball. There you go. Volleyball legend with Olympic gold medals in both indoor and outdoor volleyball. Karch Karai, 66. That's one of those names. just watching enough Olympics and watching just enough volleyball in the Olympics, that name has always stayed with me. Speaking of a name that has always stayed with me, in addition to Karch Karai, Dolph Lundgren is 69 today. Now that is an awesome Hollywood story. He's Yvonne Drago in Rocky IV, He-Man in Masters of the Universe, and tons of other action roles throughout his career. And the reason why I say how it's one of the great Hollywood stories is the fact that this guy is a bona fide, I think, electrical engineer from Sweden, genius level at MIT. And he's like, I'm going to go act for a while. And then he became Drago. It's not a bad switcheroo.

30 No, I mean, I'll argue the best of the Rocky movies. It is 100% fan service Rocky, and we were there for it. Absolutely. That was peak Rocky. The story was way better in Rocky I. I'm talking from a Hollywood standpoint story. the young guy getting a shot, blah, blah, blah. And the fact that the first Rocky ends in a tie, that was brilliant. Rocky four, you knew what was going to happen. I are, I will argue a Rocky. The original Rocky is not a good movie. Uh, and two and three, I suppose the threes, uh, three is excellent. Uh, but I mean, I'm curious to know they've got that, uh, that movie coming out, like I am Rocky or I play Rocky or something.

30 And yeah, it's, it's called, I play Rocky. It's the story of how Sylvester Stallone wrote Rocky for himself and refused over and over again to sell the script to the studio. His whole play was, if you want it, I play Rocky. And they eventually caved and it turned sly. It's one of the great gambles in Hollywood history. Yeah. I mean, and, I mean, talk about betting on yourself and winning big. Good Lord. Yeah. It's interesting, too, because that movie, I mean, there's a number of other actors that could have played that role and the movie still would have been successful. It absolutely would have been successful. But to me, part of what makes Rocky so memorable, not just the movie, but is the character, is because it was Sly that played it and the voice and everything.

26 Agreed. And also the fact that To me, the acting's awful in the first one. But if you're going on the premise that he's a wannabe boxer and not an actor, then yeah, it's great because.... Very convincing that way. And look, this is a very difficult thing for us to reconcile. We go back and watch certain movies or television shows that we loved when we were younger. They don't always hold up, right? It's been a long time since I've seen the original Rocky. So hearing you say that the acting was poor doesn't surprise me. It kind of makes sense. That movie was made in 78 or something. Tara just watched for the first time Nightmare on Elm Street on Saturday night into Sunday.

22 It went bad, Trey. It went so bad. Not because she was so terrified of Freddy Krueger. but because the original nightmare on Elm street does not come anywhere close to holding up. It is so bad. It makes me, it makes me wonder how it was ever popular in 1984, 85. When it came out, it is that poor. It is so bad. Like it was Johnny Depp's first movie, right? That's the one where he gets pulled into the bed. Uh, He is such a wasted, nothing of a character in this movie because all he is is the boyfriend. He's given two assignments in the movie, both of which consist of don't fall asleep. He fell asleep during both of them, the second one being his last one. He really had, I think it might have been like the birthplace of you had one job because at one point the girl who plays the main character tells the boyfriend, I'm going to go to sleep now. you need to stay awake.

27 So if I start freaking out, you can pull me out. And he's like, okay, I got you. She goes to sleep. And then he goes to sleep almost immediately. And then when she wakes up, she hits him, wakes him up. And she basically says, damn it. You had one job and you couldn't even do it. I mean, it doesn't surprise me. The movie's bad. I think it was just, it was frightening when we were that age. I guess like at the time it came out, I would have been like five ish, six. So yeah. Rewatching it though, in my forties, it's, it's laughable. So I'm trying to think, and that's one of those, I think I may have seen the first one after like, cause I think maybe I saw the second or third one in the theater. Yeah. Um, and then I went back and, you know, went to blockbuster and rented the one.

27 I don't know. I don't remember, but see, that's the way I feel about the Friday, the 13th movies. I feel like they're just, I think the original Friday, the 13th going back and watching it, it would be bad. I did that more recently. Like it's been, it's been a number of years, but I went back and rewatched the original. And yeah, it's not as scary as you, as we would have thought when we were kids. Um, especially when, if you'd never actually seen the original, it's actually mama who's doing the killing, not Jason. Uh, but you know, you do get to see Kevin Bacon take an arrow through the throat. I guess that's my, my, my way of saying that there are some redeemable qualities with some of these films.

14 What's wrong with Kevin Bacon? Nothing. I just, the only reason I say it was gratifying is because I'd forgotten he was in it. So when I was rewatching, I was like, Hey, it's Kevin Bacon. Oh, oh, poor Kevin Bacon. All right. Moving on. Oh God. Phil Sims is 71. One of my least favorite broadcasters. I never liked him calling games. I never did. And I was glad when Romo got the job and they put him in the studio, but I, now JJ Watts getting a lot of love in the Romo aftermath. I don't get, I listened to some of his, uh, I think they had the chiefs Broncos game yesterday and I, I watched a little bit of it. Oh, I do not see the magic in JJ.

58 Uh, I saw, I saw one game that he did, uh, opposite Nance. It was good. It was fine. Wasn't anything remarkably amazing, but it also wasn't remarkably terrible. So that's also how I feel about Jim Nance in general. So, Oh, I, I, I like Jim Nance. I think he's excellent at what he does. But I think Romo's better than J.J. Watt. But again, at a certain point, the days of Madden and Summerall are over, and the people are far more interchangeable. Speaking of interchangeable broadcasters, when it comes to football, Dennis Miller is 73. One of the blights on Monday Night Football.

45 Yeah, that wasn't his fault, though. No, no, that was someone making a poor decision on who to put in that booth. I love the premise. You and I have talked for years about how we would have loved to have a stand-up comedian in the booth to have some serious fun during a game. Dennis Miller is not the guy I would have chosen at all. And then when it actually happened and they said, we're going to use Dennis Miller, I think you and I both are like, this ain't going to work. No, I mean. Chris Rock? Yes. And you put it on HBO. A lot of it depends on who you put them with. You know, I will argue that Tony Kornheiser was worse than Dennis Miller as far as the Monday Night Booth, but.

26 Oh, yeah, but just for a different reason. Yeah. But, yeah, and I love Dennis Miller. I've always. His stand-up, I mean, he is one of the funnier people and his intellect is off the charts, but, yeah, that was not a good fit. Kate Capshaw Turns 73 today. She played Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and left with Steven Spielberg. That's a good get. She got the role and the director. And since we just mentioned it last week, she was also one of the stars of Space Camp, one of my favorite movies as a little kid. That movie was stacked. Kate Capshaw, Joaquin Phoenix, Leah Thompson, Kelly Preston, and even Tate Donovan. And the black guy from Revenge of the Nerds. I feel bad for forgetting his name.

30 He had a run space camp that, and, uh, uh, revenge of the nerds, space camp and, uh, iron Eagle. That's right. Iron Eagle. I forgot about that, which is why I think I had seen iron Eagle, uh, and Space Camp well before I saw Revenge of the Nerds. So when I saw Revenge of the Nerds and then saw the range he had as an actor, I was thoroughly confused. Because that role was very unlike the other two. Do you feel restless and anxious? Thank you very much. Back inside the Treehouse, I'm Dan, he's Trey. Larry B. Scott is the actor that I couldn't remember his name. Larry B. Scott is the one who played Lamar in Revenge of the Nerds, and then he was also In Revenge of the Nerds 2, Nerds in Paradise. Also, he played Rudy in Space Camp. And Jerry in The Karate Kid. I had totally forgotten. He was like the black guy in a bunch of 80s movies, including Karate Kid.

23 He was the black guy in Cobra Kai. The inspiration for South Park. Anyway, I wanted to make sure I give him his due credit, because he is a very fine actor, and he's had some great roles that I remember him in, and his name is Larry B. Scott. I mean, think about it. That's a run of some movies in the mid-' 80s. Oh, yeah. Let me go back down, because those are the movies that are listed just as the ones that he's known for. So let me go back into that little chunk of time, all right? So let's go down to... Wow, not so bad.

05 Listen to his start in the early 80s. So he played a bunch of characters, right? So his first role, according to IMDb, was as Carlton in a movie or a show called Thieves. That was 1977. Then he was on an ABC After School special in 78. There's been some other stuff, other stuff, other stuff. Then it gets interesting. 1978, he starts to hit a run here on some guest spots on TV shows. He's in an episode of Barney Miller in 1978. In 1980, he's in an episode of Lou Grant. In 1981, he was in an episode of Trapper John M.D. Also in 1981, in an episode of The Righteous Apples. 1982, an episode of Quincy M.E. Also in 82, an episode of CBS Afternoon Playhouse. 1982, one episode of Hill Street Blues. 82 to 83, two episodes of Benson. He was also in The Jerk 2, the follow-up to The Jerk starring Steve Martin in 1984 with an IMDb rating of 2.8. The film, the film, not him.

19 I don't think I ever saw The Jerk 2. I think I did. I don't remember it though. But then that same year, he is one of the Cobra Kai guys. In the Karate Kid in 84. Then 84, also Revenge of the Nerds. Then he had three episodes of St. Elsewhere, an episode of The Jeffersons. Magnum P.I. Oh, man. Iron Eagle, Space Camp, Revenge of the Nerds 2. 227. He's had a hell of a career. That was all in the 80s. And then in the 90s, kind of the same thing. A bunch of just random roles. He was in... Wow, he was in the Stakeout sequel in 93. Yeah.

00 Is he still alive? Uh, uh, I think so. Okay. It says he is an actor and director. Okay. Yes. I think, I think he's still kicking. All right. Anyway, good on him. It's not even his birthday. Yeah. I just wanted to make sure that, you know, I get the guy's name, right. Cause like I said, he's in a lot of movies that I watched growing up, like iron Eagle. Okay. Uh, let's do this. We haven't done this in a while. I mean, I found it. There we go. Trying to reacclimate myself to my road caster. A Florida man was arrested after fatally shooting two roommates for eating his ice cream.

50 Yeah. First of all, imagine being 69 and living with two roommates. Now imagine it's Florida that you live in, and then you kill those two roommates because you got into an argument about ice cream. Before the deadly shooting, officers arrived at the man's home to resolve the argument, and it seemed as though peace had been restored between the three individuals. But about an hour later, police received a call about shots being fired at that location and quickly rushed back to the scene. Officers arrested Mark Lynn Robinson after he fatally shot his two tenants, 78-year-old and a 69-year-old at his home in Ocala, Florida.

31 Say what flavor it was? Oh. Are we talking about, like, Blue Bell Holiday Edition, whatever they come out with? Oh, yeah. If it's Christmas cookies, Trey, if you eat my Christmas cookies, I will shoot you. Because you know better. Don't touch my Christmas cookies ice cream. That's true. Even for Florida standards, that one's just effed up. It really is. Ocala Police Chief Mike Balkan said officers responded to a call at the home over a verbal altercation earlier in the day. The guy who was arrested for murder rented the rooms out to these other two people.

15 The chief also said after interviewing the three men, officers determined the dispute had really had something to do with someone eating someone else's ice cream, if you can believe that. He explained officers resolved the situation and that the two tenants walked out of the house before they left the scene. After receiving calls of shots being fired at the home about an hour later, police returned, found one gunshot victim in the front yard. After they approached Robinson, he admitted he had shot both roommates and surrendered. While clearing the home, officers found a second gunshot victim. They both passed away due to those injuries. Can't wait for the toxicology report on that one. Yikes. It was a 12-gauge shotgun.

57 Yikes. According to an arrest affidavit, Robinson acknowledged he'd been drinking prior to the incident, advising he consumed approximately a bottle and a half of white wine. He then retrieved a 12-gauge shotgun from his bedroom, placed it on the couch in the living room when both roommates came back. Robinson says a second altercation occurred and that one of the tenants armed himself with a knife. before they both rushed him. Feeling threatened, he alleges he fired the shotgun and basically killed them both. Now, he says that one of them attempted to flee the house, but as he crossed the front yard, Robinson shot him in the back. Police confirmed that that guy was trying to flee, along with a witness testimony who saw it. He's now been arrested for one count of second-degree murder, and they're continuing their investigation into the double homicide. No, Trey, it does not mention what flavor of ice cream started the brawl.

00 Yeah. Once again, we ask the important questions. Because, I mean, if this is over vanilla, that's just not enough. Yeah, I mean, if it was Neapolitan, then give them the chair. And rightfully so. I don't even think anyone would have to appeal that. Just straight to the chair. Just go. Go. Go. Well, that's usually a spot where we would leave this show, but there's one more thing lingering here that we need to at least touch on briefly, and that is the fact that Burger King had to respond after a white employee wore blackface at a drive-thru. Oh. I.

43 And it wasn't subtle. No. I mean, there's really not much subtle about blackface, but when it resembles... like the shoe polish version of it from back in the early 20th century. I mean, my God, how, how in this day and age, does anyone think that's a good idea? Like some people just can't handle the humor tray. How have, have, Because this was a thing that took down a lot of people years ago. Did it die off so much that then all of a sudden people forgot?

30 What? I don't think it's ever died off enough to where people forgot that you're not supposed to dress up in blackface. Well, clearly somebody didn't give this kid the memo. Look, you're not wrong about that. I don't know how you can live such a sheltered life that you don't know this and that it's not okay. But, by God, a white employee at a Burger King is facing backlash after serving customers with a face covered in black makeup on October 31st. Okay? In a video posted online, a customer filmed the employee standing at the drive-thru window and asked the employee what they were dressed as. And the employee responded by saying, I'm black today. I... I mean, that's dark.

33 Well done. Thank you. See? Worth it. If you loved what you heard here today, share it with a friend so more people can laugh with us inside the treehouse. We'll see you next time. Right here.

15 Inside the treehouse. That is fully against blackface.
