That's Patreon dot com slash Treehouse on Air. That's pat r e o in dot com slash Treehouse on air. It is time to leave your warriors outside and laugh with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with Trey Trenholm and Jerry called Well Today on the show, time permitting, we will talk and laugh about cocaine salmon.
50 That's a story I've been meaning to get to all week, but I keep forgetting it because all these other things keep happening. Also, I'm hoping that we get to dinosaurs, just can't seem to catch a break. Didn't get a chance to get to that yesterday, But I'll see if I can slam it in there like a comet today. Also, passport outrage is now a thing. But first I want to start with some local goings on in our dearly beloved North Texas area, all the storms that happened Tuesday night and have been happening for a few days. Trey, you good, Yeah, I'm fine. You look good and your olden mills backdrop still looks beautiful. Jerry, you look good.
42 You're in your in your broadcast closet. Yep, there is an EMU though that did not fare so well outside Mineral Wells. Oh no, yeah, So a tornado devastated parts of Mineral Wells last night. Several people were injured, flattened a portion of the town, and it's actually the sixth day of a severe storm outbreak that has terrorized the Midwest and the South. Tornado ripped through Mineral Wells about eighty miles west of Dallas around five pm Tuesday evening.
27 Two people were transported to the hospital and several were treated for minor injuries, but there are no reported debts or active missing persons. According to Mineral Wells fire chief Ryan Dunn, multiple homes and a wide swath of the industrial area were damaged. Swath is a really good word. Unfortunately, it typically only gets used in destructive scenarios. Jerry, I think your dogs are awake. The impacted area had a ten o'clock curfew Tuesday night to prevent people from going into the damage or Castors from the National Weather Service in Fort Worth will survey on Wednesday to estimate the tornado strength. Local High School being used as a reunification center, and the Red Cross is on scene. Storms also brought massive hail up to grapefruit size near godly holy schnikes. Yeah, the only time I've ever been near grapefruit size was the storm of ninety five that hid downtown Fort Worth and absolutely destroyed my blazer. My Chevy Blazer that my mom had taken to work and parked outside in downtown Fort Worth because she was working at the Fort Worth Opera and they were doing stuff at the Convention Center turned on top of my s ten into Swiss cheese.
00 Chaser Matt Jones was in the car in Springfield when hale bigger than golf balls picked up in intensity and then at Springfield's Dickerson Park Zoo, an emu was killed during the hail storm, along with a rhea, which is a large bird similar to an emu. So, while sad, it's good that the only death so far in the storm was an emu. Big dumb bird, big dumbird dump for a brief moment, getting hit in the head by a large piece of hale may have made it smarter, which is kind of sad. So glad to know you guys are okay.
40 Yeah, we really I mean as far as Dallas, we really haven't gotten a lot. I like, uh my stepmom who still isn't Leonard. They got hammered Saturday night Sunday morning with golf ball baseball sized hail. See, we get a heat island effect. We've got so much concrete around here. You'll see it. It's coming in, It's coming in, and then. It gets just west of Fort Worth and it kind of does this open and around thing and then closes back up somewhere you know, around Mesquite and then continues on its way. Yep, And it'll do that way as it goes north to south as well. Yeah, the heat island is a very real thing, and it has protected DFW for the most part quite a bit over the years.
28 That's also why they say if there ever is going to be an EF seven, it will hit downtown Dallas, Matt dab head. On, because I believe it. Yeah, that heat will heat island will fuel something huge. Yeah, I must say it's been nice. We've had an actual like spring for an appreciable amount of time, and it's been overcast and rainy more than it hasn't. For like the last two weeks. It's you know, especially when you're making a garden like we are planting your food and stuff. Man, that does help. Yeah, all right, glad, you guys are good. Feel bad for the bird? Right? Do we know the.
17 Current condition of the EMU? Instead way to pay attention, Well, I'm sorry, I got. People making noise over here. I thought it was dogs. That's who I'm referring to. Those people just making sure you don't have a furry party happening in the living room that we're keeping you from. If you are sick of North Texas weather, there are options. You can move. I've moved, and you can even move internationally if you want, or you can just go out of town for a while. But if you do that, if you travel internationally, you're going to need a passport. And we can now add passport outrage to our twenty twenty six Bingo cards because thanks to President Trump and his big idea to slap his face on the inside cover, of America's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary edition passports. Lots of people are thinking, I don't want one. Now, this is so stupid. I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm not. This is really this is you know, the State Department is rolling out limited edition.
42 So if this gets your painties in a bunch, just take a deep breath. It's limited edition US passports to commemorate the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of American Independence. The new passport designs, obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital No Surprise, prominently feature President Donald J. Trump's image on the inside. Cover mock ups show Trump's image surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence and American flag, along with the President's signature in gold. But of course, another page features the famous painting of the Founding Fathers at the signing of the Declaration of Independence but way after the document that Trump's faces on. The passports, which are set to be released this summer, are part of the Trump administration's broader America to fifty celebration, which also includes a Grand Prix race on the National Mall in August and the UFC Fight on the White House South Lawn in June. I want to point this out as well, because I was curious because I believe my passport is up for renewal either this year or next. The passports are for a limit did time. It's while supplies last, and it's actually only going to be available at the Washington Passport Office. So if you want a Trump passport,
16 you're gonna have to get it from the Washington Passport Office. I'll keep that in mind. If you don't want a Trump passport, just don't go to the Washington office or wait until they run out. Don't don't let that little detail keep you from getting your panties in a bunch. You know what. Then I'm gonna lean into that trade. I like that. I like the idea of a Trump photo on my next passport, if and only if I get to choose the photo. I don't think that'll be an option, but I think that would be a fair trade.
57 So there you have it. If if you want to be outraged by it, knock yourself out. If you want to go grab one, because you have all the other Trump collectibles in your house and your car and your body to Washington, you go, you can get your your Trump passport. That way, you've got something to match your Trump Force ones that you have to take off when you go to the airport to go through security. Congratulations to us. All why would you have to think those off. Because they're shoes, and you can't wear shoes through security unless you're TSA pre check. I thought they completely did away with the shoe thing.
38 I don't know. I've been TSA PreCheck for so long, I don't know. And the airport did they do away with it? Finally? Yeah? All right, well congratulations go us go security. In that case, they can just match your shoes if you don't have to take off anymore. So, now, we did spend a fair amount of time this week on the White House Correspondence dinner action, and because of that, there was no entertainment at the White House Correspondence there. Now, Trey, you and I talked about this a little bit yesterday. They weren't going to have a comedian. Instead, they were going to have a mentalist, which I was probably going to be pretty entertaining. But that doesn't mean the President did not get roasted this week. It's just that he got roasted by someone we all didn't quite expect. King Charles is on a state visit from England and in some of his remarks he referred to something Trump had mentioned recently about World War two and saving Europe.
47 Indeed, you recently commented, mister President, that if it were not for the United States, European countries would be speaking German. Dare I say that if it was of us, you'd be speaking French? And a toast, thank you, thank you him And somewhere in the corner you can hear a Native American crying. Uh. When they do these events, since they don't have the ballroom yet, what do you trade? You know what room they did this in, like the state dinners and stuff.
32 This one was in a Hilton, This one was well, no, the White House corson. Sorry, yeah, I don't think they're going to go back to that Hilton for a while now, especially with the King of England in town. I mean, I think they have a ballroom where they do this. But you know it always see it's like one hundred and fifty people a gotcha. But the other thing that's lost on that is and Charles is actually you know, love a good dry British humor. But he and Trump have been friends for years. Oh they're buddy, they're all pals. Yeah. I think it's hysterical though, when we have heads of state giving each other history lessons left and right. In case you forgot, we helped you here. Yeah, well, in case you forgot we helped you there. You know what, body, you shut up.
22 Neither one of you were there. So it's fun to claim certain things. But unless you were there, let's not wave that flag so mightily, you know what I mean, Like, unless you had like some severe hands in the game. I've always found that kind of laughable, where it basically feels like people taking credit for things that other people did just because you're from the same place. I think Prince Charles is closer to the War of eighteen twelve than Trump is World War Two. I'm just saying that might actually be Yeah, I think I think he's just making a King Charles his old joke.
04 Yeah, they're both actually actually kring. Charles, I believe, is a year younger than Trump. Really, yeah, he doesn't wear it. Well, maybe he should play more golf. I would be curious to see if they are, if they actually are around the same age. I assume they are, but I do I will say I do appreciate our countries getting along so well despite some serious disagreements over the years. Oh that's just Charles, I mean Starmer's Yeah, it's all other is h King Charles. He's seventy seven, he's three almost three years younger.
50 Yeah, that's a yeah, he looks rougher. Yeah, he has had quite a few challenges though in his life. There's no doubt about it. Anyway, I'm glad to know that so far King Charles the visit no major incidents. However, the same cannot be said for Russia. And what I mean by that is, so we're all familiar with Chernobyl. That happened years ago, right well. As Jeff Goldbloom so aptly pointed out in Jurassic Park, life finds a way, and so much so that Chernobyl's wolf population is now seven times higher than before the disaster.
39 Yeah wolf, wild dog. Yeah wolves. Gray wolves now living in the Chernobyl exclusion zone also show a new genetic resistance to cancer. Also, they might glow a little bit. That's actually really fascinating. The most vt of nuclear disaster and human history turned forty on Sunday, But the consequences have been almost perversely benign for some of the regions wildlife. The full core melt down at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in eighty six, which led Soviet officials to wrap the failing nuclear center reactor in a colossal sarcophagus of concrete and metal.
20 Which is failing, by the way, oh goodie. Oh yeah. Yeah. It took the lives of roughly thirty people in its immediate aftermath. Scientists now estimate the death toll between a conservative four thousand and a stomach turning sixteen thousand additional radiation related deaths. However, it's been good for the wolves. Like I said at the beginning, seven times the previous population. Yeah, it's one of those things that get man out of the way and nature will find a way.
00 We are nature's roadblocks, there's no doubt. One environmentalist pointed out that in addition to the wolf populations being seven times higher than they were before this Chernobyl accident, also pointed out that populations of elk, deer and rabbit have also flourished in the zone. Right, you have to have that to have the predators. Yeah, circle of life and all that. Evolutionary biologist at Princeton discovered something unique about this new gray wolf population, which likely helped those predators carve out the new niche in the exclusion zone. Mutations that appear to make sure Nobles wolves more resistant to cancer, Which makes sense. I mean, because what's one of the treatments that we have for human cancer radiation?
50 I leave you haven't found there is. I think it's an algae that actually they have has adapted to feed off the radiation. Mm hmm. Interesting it's growing on the inside of the water tanks in Chernobyl, Right, Yeah. I wonder then does that mean that at some point, as a preventative measure from cancers, maybe we all just get some sort of radiation treatment ahead of time, like kind of like the polio vaccine, you know, back in the day, We'll get a radiation vaccine for cancer. You never know. Yeah, I think you kind of have to be born into that situation to get the genetic benefits because you're and mind you this is you know, forty years later on a species that has a ten to twelve year lifespan.
43 So you're you're talking about five, six, seven generations of wolves and wild animals that have come along, but yeah, I mean it is fascinating, and you know ya Soviets for being completely in up and careless with nuclear technology and giving what really is a very beneficial resource. It really is, it really is. I mean, it's really one of the ultimate things about man that seems to be true. We'll screw something up, but we'll find a positive nugget in there somewhere. Sure, we had this massive nuclear meltdown in Russia, killed thousands of people, affected entire ecosystems, but we might have found a cure for cancer.
33 And could have potentially destroyed large parts of Europe and Asia had they not been able to contain it when they did. Had that melt had it gone to a complete meltdown and gotten into the water table and everything else, there is no telling what would have happened. Would have been like a low key explosion, the same kind of a you know, dispersement air, water, no food. No, No, that's not the meltdown. The scariest thing of the meltdown is we don't know how far, how hot you know, you know how hot it is, No, don't know how far it'll go deep into the earth, and then where it goes from there mm hmm. Yeah, it could have been far worse.
24 It could have been bad. You're listening to the Treehouse visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com. 23:03 What's the birthdays legendary Detroit Pistons point guard Isaiah Thomas sixty five years old today. I don't think about this very often now because I don't watch NBA basketball as much as I used to. I don't watch any basketball like I used to when I was younger. But I am so glad. I am of an age that I was able to watch, appreciate, and now remember how lucky I was to watch basketball in the late eighties all the way through the nineties, because when you think about it, there's some really really really good basketball, good teams, and that's NBA, that's college. The dream Team era happened in there.
52 Isaiah Thomas, sixty five. I loved watching those Pistons teams, the teams that were right before the Bulls hit their dynasty. Those Pistons teams were vicious. My god, you think about the soft ass NBA players of today compared to the tougher league of back in the day. Take any player today, put them up against Bill Lambierd, Dennis Rodman, Isaiah Thomas, the late eighties early nineties Pistons. Oh god, Oh, I'd pay so much money to see that. They wouldn't be able to handle all that violence.
33 No, just a hand check would would probably in some of some of them spiraling down. You say hand check or hand shake and check, although possibly a handshake. Other birthdays today, Travis Scott is thirty five, Be careful at his concerts. Johnny Galecki fifty one years old today. He's one of those birthdays that This is why this is part of the reason we love doing birthdays on this show, is because we'll have these random conversations about things and people and then boom, out of nowhere, it's their birthday and just kind of ties it all together. We mentioned Johnny Gileki the other day because we were talking about the casting on The Big Bang Theory. He's fifty one. This is one of the great Hollywood stories, although it's kind of under the radar and a great childhood actor. As far as I know, no major issues growing up in and around you know, the Hollywood sphere of influence is now fifty one, has had an outstanding career.
33 Made a ton of money with Big Bang Theory, obviously, but he's had a good film career as well. One of my favorite Christopher Walkin movies. He was in at Suicide Kings and he's a member of a very small club in Hollywood. He played a rusty character on the Vacation films. He was the one in my favorite Christmas Vacation. He played the younger Rusty. Really, that's Johnny Gollecki. When they're out, when they're outside and Clark's just about to start decorating the house of all the lights and suns with him, and he's like, come on, dad, and he's did you think you're overdoing it a bit? And Clark's like, come on, one of the last time out did anything.
14 And they just give him a look and then he pulls up the knot of lights and he hands it to him the hair. Let you work on that. That's Johnny Gllecky. Huh yeah uh. Other birthdays today. Kirsten Dunst is forty four, now at least a part time Texas resident, she and Jesse Plemons are. I believe they're married. The she had kind of a I don't want to necessarily say a dry spell. I don't know if it was intentional on her part or not. After the Spider Man movies, not a whole lot necessarily happened with her and with her career, But in recent years has had a big resurgence. She was in that a twenty four Civil War movie.
55 Like there was something else recently as well. Gal Gado is forty one. She was the most recent wonder Woman and Jerry, I know you follow all the comic book stories and films and news. I don't believe she's going to be brought back as Wonder Woman in this new DC universe because they've already redone recasted Superman. I'm sure James Gunn his partner, completely redoing all the casting. The latest thing was I don't know if I'm saying her name correctly, Adria or Adriana a Rosha. She has been hired as a character of some sort in DC. Everyone is speculating that she's going to be the new wonder Woman.
47 She was a co star on Andor. She was also in a movie with Glenn Powell. It was a Netflix movie where he played like a negotiator or something and they had like a hot, steamy romance. She was in that as well. That's that's what I've seen her in. So anyway, the rumor is that she may be the new wonder Woman, but the old Wonder Woman Galgado forty one to day. Does anyone, Jerry, You're far more into the comic books than I am and that stuff. Does anyone get excited about anything DC anymore? Because that you just expect it to suck? You know, yes and no. Right at the beginning, it's like okay, cool. You know, it's one of those things where it's like, okay, cool, this could be the one.
33 This get okay, it wasn't. Were you not a fan of the New Superman movie? I have to be honest, I haven't seen the new the Newest Superman movie because it's I. Couldn't get through it. Why it's I just I thought it was just bad. I mean I got about halfway through it, and I just I was so bored and unimpressed, like I just And I know you said you loved it, but I could not. I liked it. I liked it, and I and I still struggle with some of that stuff because I want to like it. I actually wanted to love it. I didn't love it. I liked it. I enjoyed it. And I'll be honest with you, I've seen it like four times, so I keep going back to it, so I enjoy it on that level. At least, I will say, I feel like it's a truer representation of a comic book Superman than you know, Snyder's I because he is that goodie two shoes kind of a thing.
43 Well and and I think maybe that's the problem. It was just so. Corny, I think. I think that's what a lot of I think that's what turned a lot of people off of it because we were supposed to be we were supposed to like this darker, more emo type Superman that we got with Zack Snyder's Superman and Henry Cavill, when in reality Superman is just sort of a he really is when you go back, he's kind of an awe shucks on pap from Kansas kind of a character. Which the original Superman like That's that was always kind of the line because I mean that's what I grew up with. I if you you know the superhero. The first one that I've always popped pop into mind is Superman, but obviously, uh god, I just drew a blank on his name.
32 Christopher Reeve. Christopher Reeve, that's for me, the gold standard. Yes, absolutely, the Henry. Cavill, like, I liked that it was dark but entertaining. But the new one, I don't know. I I one day I'll watch the rest of it, but I just I can't put my finger on it. It just but corny was the first thing that just really kind of came to mind. And I get that. I think that's a fair criticism, but I also think that's sort of how you're watching a film through your own lens kind of a thing, because the world today is massively cynical. And I know that that tone was intentional on James Gunn's part, because he wanted that sort of that throwback of what the Superman character was supposed to be, which was kind of corny and chucks. It's like, it's it's in the film.
31 It's very intentional. It's in the words that you know they use that Superman says, like what the hey, dude, and it's like it's so I understood the tone of what he was going for and trying to fill the world more with hope. That's the part I appreciated, was more of this hopeful aspect to it, So it I was able to be kind of good with it. And that's that's one thing I liked. Okay, well, that's supposed to be one of the things about Superman. That thing that we call it, that we humans call an s is supposed to be the symbol of hope on Krypton. Yeah, and so he was supposed to be the representation of that. But I I just I couldn't watch it because the trailers and all the scenes and everything that I've seen that makes it look like it's a live action version of super Friends.
23 It kind of is. This is the last part, because we're not a superhero show. This is last thing I'll say about it. After the first time I watched it, my initial gut reaction was I enjoyed it. I liked it. I don't love it, but it absolutely felt that movie truly felt like a comic book come to life. The colors, the dialogue, the story, all the stuff. It felt like a comic book movie come to life. And that's that can be taken good or bad. I mean, it's like it really did feel like someone took that genre, that storyline of comics and just throw it up on the big screen.
11 But on another subject of similar lp, I am really worried that the Mandalorian and Grogan movie is gonna suck. So am I I'm really worried about that because I didn't love the last season or so of like the Regular Show, you know, I. Liked it, but I I feel like they're just kind of I'm so hoping I'm wrong, but I feel like they just this was a money grab. They weren't gonna do another season, and so they're like, all right, let's do a movie. And it's very much I am very much worried that what you see in the trailer is the is the only good parts.
59 Yeah. Look, I will say that Mandalorian Grogu does have a few things in it. I will go see it because I'm a our Wars suck off. Because I'm so full of hope. I'm hoping these things will be good. Which the first couple of seasons of Mandalorian I loved. I thought they were so good. I mean, you've got Stormtroopers heads on spikes and stuff in that first season. I love that. No, but at the end of the second season, you you was the you know, collective orgasm of of everyone our age that you finally saw Luke. In heavy action. Yeah, in his prime.
40 Yeah. So I'm looking forward to that as well. It does have a baby Yoda slash Grogu. I'm looking forward to that because that's that's about the closest to fatherhood. I feel like everyone that I need to be because I'm like that, lets protect that kid at all costs. He's adorable. I will watch that gift of him sipping the little bone broth tea thing all day. I also love I also love those tiny little mechanic engineer dudes that are in the trailer that we're from the last Star Wars movie where they got I did a bit, you know, the little squeaky dudes with the funny accents. I love those guys. I think they're hysterical. You know who I'm talking about.
25 Yeah, I know you're talking about. Okay, goodness make me. I just didn't find him that entertaining. That's how bad that last Star Wars movie was. That little dude was the standout, the one that turned off C three p oo and turned him back on that dude stole the scene that the last movie, that little tiny creature, the one where uh Palpatine slash Sidious. Oh okay, and he comes back, and that's where we learned. I think one of the greatest Star Wars uh story or plot points that there are is that the force is in the balls because they established that she that Ray ended up being from Palta teen and all the story lines is from the Skywalkers and stuff. It always cracks me up. Sure there's all these other four sensitive people in the universe, but if you're not from these two bloodlines and you're just your your side quest characters making sure making sure I didn't miss any other big birthdays Hitler's birthday, We're not going to celebrate that one. Yep, that's all I got. That's birthdays.

You're in the Treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com. Thank you very much for the glow party, Jerry, appreciate you. Good job Now we all know about what sort of a lag he's got on his internet, so it's actually better than it's been the last couple of weeks. Congratulations, lip sinkings hard on the internet. Man, all right, we have more than covered birthdays today. Let's jump into a little bit of news. Wisconsin is doing stuff. Wisconsin's not a state that's typically in the news, but this is a good one. A road in Wisconsin has added a decimal point to its speed limit. No, this is not a joke, it's a real thing. A Wisconsin road has added a decimal point to its speed limit in the hope that the unusual traffic sign will give drivers second thoughts about putting the pedal to the metal. The out of Gamy County Recycling and Solid Waste Facility in Appleton, Wisconsin, one hundred and seven miles north of Milwaukee, announced Monday
23 that the speed limit inside the facility would now be seventeen point three. The facility wrote in a Facebook post, you may notice something a little different on your next visit. Our posted speed limit is now seventeen point three. The facility, which provides recycling and landfill disposal services, said it decided on a posted speed limit of seventeen point three miles per hour because it makes drivers pause the facility added in their social post. It makes you look twice, and most importantly, it breaks that autopilot feeling we can all fall into when driving familiar roots. I get that, I get the psyche behind it. I've done this. This is an old I don't know if it's a marketing trick, but it's an old radio thing I learned back in the day when I first started hanging banners at ninety two to five kzps my very first radio job. That was on occasion, especially if you're throwing a bunch of banners up for the radio station at the same time, take one and flip it upside down. That way, people notice it and it works.
34 Subdivisions have been doing this for ages, where you'll go into a subdivision and it'll be some random you know, it's nineteen miles an hour or it's not on the fives and fives and tens, and for that very reason is you don't see that very often, so it gets people's attention. Yep. It stands out. Anything to stand out, especially when it comes if you're looking to stand out from the crowd from a brand, a branding p of you, or in this case, a safety point of view. I liked it. They did not put the speed limit sign upside down like I did with radio banners back in the day. I think the decimal point might help. However, if you're going fast enough through that zone and you see the sign that says seventeen point three, if you're not paying close enough attention, you might think it's one hundred and seventy three. I hope you don't think that that's okay, But it only takes one person to say, how can you say I was speeding the speed limit was one hundred and seventy three, I was only going like seventy and then the cops says, well, it's seventeen point three, and next thing you know, the decimal thing is in court.
48 I appreciate the thinking, though, and I think it'll work. Wisconsin is not usually a place you think of. For math. You could just stop right there. Wisconsin is not a place we normally think of in thought. All right, dinosaurs, man, they just cannot catch a break. This is a true story as well. A sixty ton animatronic I can't speak today. A sixty ton animatronic dinosaur burst into flames out of Kansas Theme Park after getting struck by lightning trey. I believe you said it best by saying.
40 God hates dinosaurs. Sure seems to he is. He just smites them. I'm starting to think that either he hates his own creation that much, or perhaps that dinosaurs are from the devil. It's like, now, oh, there's too many dinosaurs on the planet. Giant asteroid wipe them all out. And then and then one one got a little too big for its breeches in Kansas and found out the hard way. God, God don't like dinos. I think it all. What's the closest thing on earth today to a dinosaur? Chickens? Birds? Birds? Yeah, and what did he do to a bird in mineral wells? And EMU killed it?
23 My god, he really really hates feathers. Fire crews were able to contain the massive blaze that engulfed one hundred foot long structure at Field Stationed Dinosaurs that's in Derby, Kansas. That was over the past weekend. The park may restore the dinosaur, but rebuilding it could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and require rare artistry. That's according to a report. And not only that, but you run a real risk of pissing off God yet again, I think dinosaurs.
07 This kind of fits within my whole thing about dinosaurs being part of Mother Nature's grand plan. She needed plastic. Not sure what the next step after plastic is, but you know, you make the dinosaurs, then the dinosaurs get wiped out, Then they make petroleum, then humans show up, they learn how to refine petroleum into plastic. Whatever's coming after plastic I'm not one hundred percent sure of. But if you've got a giant, mechanical dinosaur who's already made of plastic, it's like, nope, that goes back in the ground. Got it. Okay, it's a stretch, but I follow your logic. With as much plastic as we are producing as a species, I would assume the next big change is us.
51 Oh yeah, once our part to play is done, then it's shake us off like fleas, move on to the next stage. Boy, I will say, though, I mean it's the tray. I think you're right. I mean, at a certain point you got it, Like what is it? Glen Rose? The dinosaurs and Glenn Rose, I feel like I feel like their days are numbered. Man, Maybe maybe they're maybe they made them just just small enough, like they're large, but not so large that they incur the wrath of God or Jerry's mother nature.
35 Yeah, maybe maybe there's a size that they just you get to a certain point they got to take you out. May very well be true. And finally, brnosauruses are on the on on on the on the target screen. It is freaky to think about, especially when you see It's like like what Jurassic Park did to let's say, at a to realize some dinosaurs, like the velociraptors, does not look like that they were not that big. They were actually smaller and most dinosaurs were covered in feathers. That's not as cool when you think about it. It's like being eaten by a giant chicken is not exactly the way to go out. But if you've ever seen that huge rooster walking out of the chicken house online from over the years, m tray, did you ever see that it was a giant Brahma walking out of uh walking out of the the henhouse. It looked like a man in a suit walk stepping out of this thing, Like it's not even walking out of a it's like it's unfolding itself out into the world. It was. It was a It was an actual, honest to god, Foghorn Leghorn.
47 Even though growing up on those cartoons, I never I never thought chickens would actually be that big. I've never been around those types of chickens. And then I. Said, what about your big COCKX obsession? You know what? I knew you were gonna go. No, it's not an obsession. It's just when you see something that big, you can't help but look at it. You're like, my god, look at that thing. It just it has its own house. Finally, in news that will shock absolutely no one. Salmon that is exposed to cocaine swim almost twice as far without. I screwed it up, man, I'm having a day. Salmon exposed a cocaine swim almost twice as far as salmon without cocaine.
43 Who the funk? And they spent how much on this research? Twenty five million? That's a lot of coke. No, sorry, that's that's actual people. Cocaine use is on the rise worldwide, with the United Nations reporting an estimated twenty five million people using it in twenty twenty three. And the drug being increasingly found in waterways. Joint research released by scientists at Australia's Griffith University and the Swedish University of Agriculture studied how the drug affected the movements of wildfish in their natural habitats. Researchers took one hundred and five wild Atlantic salmon in Sweden's Lake Veteran and exposed them to both cocaine and benz aalichening a metabolite created by the drug in the liver, and then tracked their movements and had a hard time keeping up. They found that the river dwellers exposed to cocaine traveled one point nine times farther per week. Then their sober control cussins also pursued careers in politics.
57 Why I mean. Stimulant mm hmm. It affects I would assume just about everything. And now we're coming back around to cocaine bear. Mm hm yeh See cocaine bear was fictional, right, Maybe not anymore? Well, I mean, look, if someone's dumping drugs over a forest, somewhere, a cocaine may or somewhere a bear may inhale some But this is coming off of real life stories. Where sharks being found with cocaine in their systems in the Caribbean and Atlantic waters because of drug boats dumping their cocaine in the water for fear of being boarded and seized by US and other officials. And now you got researchers.
43 I hope they weren't stunned that when they gave salmon cocaine they went, they went farther. And faster, and they spent how much on this that. I don't actually know. The good news is is that this isn't our tax dollars at work. This is from Australia and Sweden, two universities doing stuff. Our American universities are too busy snorting the cocaine themselves to give it to any wildlife in America. We know how to use the cocaine properly. We're not sitting around thinking, let's give it to a fish. They'd use crack if they were gonna do that.
