Jake Paul Wants to Play in the NFL?! | AI Toilets, Pickleball Assault & Fast Food Herpes
Jake Paul is back with another headline-grabbing idea, and this one might be his most ridiculous yet. The YouTuber-turned-boxer says he wants to become an NFL slot receiver by walking on at Stanford...but doesn't someone have to actually get accepted to Stanford first? We break down the latest Jake Paul publicity stunt and ask what the NCAA is doing.
Then the show takes a turn into the wonderfully weird.
Would you trust an AI-powered toilet that's supposedly smarter than you? An Oklahoma fast food customer allegedly discovers that getting your order wrong could come with a side of herpes, and somehow that's not even the strangest story of the day.

00 Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air. It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trade Trendholme and Jerry called Well. Coming up today, it's a bit of a stupid news party. We are blowing it out for the end of the week here inside the Treehouse. Stories will include a punch drunk, wanna be football player, a pickle brawl, and would you like herpes with that? That's all coming up today inside the Treehouse.
52 And if you do like what you hear today, sure to like it, share it, follow it, but especially share it from your favorite listening platform. Share the episode with a friend today, or share it on social media and together let's grow the Treehouse Show. I don't think anyone has ever said would you like herpies with that? But if so, I'm almost positive that no one said yes. However, one woman in Oklahoma was not given that option. Before I tell you all about this story, I have a very specific question for you, Trey Jerry. If you caught herpes from a sandwich at a fast food chain, which chain would you think it was Trey.
48 Start with you. If you had to guess which fast food chain you caught herpes from one of their sandwiches, which restaurant would you guess. I'm trying to think of a funny punchline. I can't come up with one. Honestly, you don't. Don't put any undue pressure on yourself. This story's got it covered for us. Popeyes. Okay, a little, a little Cajun herpes, all right, but you can you can sop up all the sores, Jerry. Whoa If you caught herpes from a sandwich at a fast food chain, which chain would you think?
31 It was? Wendy's? Why Wendy's because she's a girl and you assume she's been around. Get the little things on her face. Hey, they're freckles, Jerry, They're not cold sores. Although that is an interesting take. If that was the case, then they're in desperate need of a logo redesign. Ronald has red lips, and maybe I should have done McDonald. Yeah, especially especially Ronald on the park bench, because it just you know, just he's us out there for everybody.
17 Uh No, you would both be in correct. Arby's. We have the herpes, although technically it wasn't Arby's, it was an employee. An Oklahoma fast food worker served up a very unhappy meal to a woman who claims she came down with herpes. Okay, that's really poorly worded. It's not a cold. Should probably say who claims she contracted herpes after eating a sandwich that she was served at an Arby's in March. Her name is Jenka Church, and I swear to God I know a Jenica from somewhere in my past. Can't quite I know I've heard that name before. I don't think I know nowhere, but it's a very specific name.
06 Jenika Church placed an order at an Arby's drive through in broken Boat. After consuming the meal, she says she developed symptoms of an oral herpes infection, including painful lesions and cold sores, and later tested positive for herpes simplex virus type one. The hunch about where she picked up the virus was backed up by surveillance video that showed employee Arby's employee Amanda Hendrix removing roast beef from the kitchen's slice her then spitting into one of the sandwiches that were part of the four for ten dollars special before making the other three sandwiches and sending out the order.
49 Miss Church is understandably suing Arby's charging that the restaurant knowingly allowed the employee to report for work even though she had visible signs of the herpes vi iris. The employee was charged with poisoning food or medicine with intent to injury, which is a felony. Her rap sheet includes convictions for narcotics, possession, credit card fraud, receiving stolen property, and driving under the influence. Meth. Won't kill herpes apparently. Oh this is I had no idea that was possible, And now I am questioning ever ordering food from anybody ever again, because I mean, look, I think I think the whole toilet seat thing has been debunked right as far as catching stvs or whatever. But just simply spitting into somebody's sandwich and then that could transfer oral herb is like oh oh man, I was I'm I'm I'm not one hundred percent sure the science backs it up, but you can sue anybody for anything.
06 I mean, it is. If like you were to go down on a woman who had a herpes outbreak and you would catch herpes. So I. Well, if you were to eat her roast beef sandwich, then you can, so okay, so then the transfer makes sense. I mean, I understand that saliva is is a way because those are those are cold source. There's a lot of people that get cold sores and they have that. Then it's it's not a problem, right, as long as you're not smooching people when you get one or spitting in there maybe or for tens.
48 If they've charged the woman, you have to assume there's some validity to the. Yeah to the accusation. Well, it's like they said, the surveillance video backs it up. She's spin it and then I mean it's I guess at that point her medical records would be like. Do you got it? And then it's a yes, so okay, then well here we go. Arby's does have a defense though, I mean, at least the franchise owner for that one, because you know, they're saying they knew she had an active herpes and I mean he's got a little we're in Oklahoma, meth mouth herpes. How do you tell the difference? I mean, honest to God, who doesn't here. I mean, if there's a state in our fine United States of America, Happy two hundred and fiftieth. But if there's a state in our country that all of it would have her, I would.
38 Not be surprised at a Tokahoma. And I can say that as an Oklahoma native. Wait a minute, and that's funny because the first thing that came to my mind when you asked me that question was was Arby's. But why didn't you say that? You said Whimdy's Because I didn't want to ruin the punch line in case that was it. That's okay, I don't mind. In this case, I would have congratulated you. But honestly, the fact that you didn't say Rby's and you went with Wendy's because you were you were thinking that maybe her freckles are actually cold soars actually worked out way better. So I applaud you, sir good. Yes, that's my. First instake was long down silver, but there's hardly any of those around. So that's why I've that dirty, dirty pirate.
23 Yeah. No, if. If it had been scurvy, absolutely without a doubt, or syphilis. Syphilis was very popular among the pirates. Yes, I believe if I remember correctly based on a couple of documentaries I watched years ago about you know pirates. Blackbeard, uh had had the syphilis and do you know how they treated it? They would inject mercury right into the urethra. Oh little bit.
06 So just imagine you get the call. You're a doctor, and you get the call, hey, uh Blackbeard could sure use your help. You're thinking, oh my god, I've made it. I'm a private doctor. Oh no, is. That how that other guy got the name long John Silver? Probably? Thank you, Jerry? All Right, I said, I do believe this is a stupid news party. So who's ready for the artificial intelligence robot toilet? Oh? Oh god? Why get out of bed to go to the bathroom when the bathroom can come to you? No? Oh, now you're not applauding.
47 No hard pass. It's a hard pass that might. Uh. This is exactly what a company in China wondered, so they did something about it. A tech company has unveiled a thirteen thousand dollars robot toilet that can come straight to your bedside. The AI power device uses sensors and obstacle avoidance technology to navigate a room on its own. Look, I've seen robots like this at the sushi places that they're supposed to bring you a beverage and stuff. They all, it's not so great yet, it's got some kinks to work out. Maybe they've worked it out on this. After you use the bedside robot toilet, it's supposed to roll back to a docking station, connect to your plumbing, empty itself, and then even clean and disinfect using water.
38 Jets and a UV light. Also features odor control to keep the air fresh. Now, granted, this has wonderful practical uses for those with mobility issues the elderly, but I don't think any normal functioning adult should have a row bot toilet coming to the bedside, especially if you're in a relationship and your other half. Is next to you. Just imagine rolling over middle of the night and witnessing that. Yeah, the problems with this one are just limitless.
19 I have so many questions. Let's let's hear them. Let's let's ask this out. Like I'll tell you right now. The only so, I think there's only two times in life that you would actually need an AI driven rollbot toilet. One is when you're elderly and having mobility issues. The other college like partying and stuff I could. I could have used that a couple of times. My first and greatest fear with this is it's the what happens when the seal doesn't work when it is docking and supposed to empty the waist I got.
00 That's the number one thing. Think about this, because that's what I'm doing now. I'm thinking about my robot vacuum and how difficult the time it has trying to find and get back to its docking station. So imagine your robot toilet doesn't quite get lined up properly, but it thinks it did, and it empties itself, and now you got that all over the floor. I'm thinking of the countless things I have seen in bar bathrooms over decades, and no, not at home. So there is there a picture of this unit that you can see?
45 Yeah, you can look it up. I didn't pull one to shi. But is it something that you actually get up and sit on like a regular toilet or does it have little attachments that like come up and like draw the stuff out of you. I don't think it has hoses where it'll draw the stuff out of you that way. It's more of like a mobility toilet. It's kind of like a uh, I'll get you a toilet. Have you ever seen because occasionally you see people like they do like races with toilets. That's kind of what it looks like. Yeah, okay, it looks like a toilet on wheels. Honestly, it looks like a little. It looks like the top of a toilet on top of a garbage can.
27 Yeah m hm. You ever go into a rest stop or a National park bathroom and you see like that solid cone thing beneath, like the commode toilet thing. It looks a lot like that on wheels, just coming right at you. But again, I mean, my robot vacuum is an idiot. It's supposed to be smart, but it's the dumbest machine that we own. Whenever it's done like sucking things up, it's supposed to immediately go back to its docking station. I can't tell you how many walls and things it bumps into, including my own feet, before it ever sometimes makes it actually back to home base. I don't want to think about a mobile toilet full of my gunk running over my foot a couple of times before it actually makes it to the drain.
16 I've really thought about getting one of those, but I just feel like it would send my cat into just an apoplectic shock. The vacuum alone strikes such fear into him, and then if it were something just roaming around on its own, I think he would just stay hidden in the closet. You may be right, because our dog Bella. I'm pretty sure something happened in the middle of the night between her and our robot vacuum, because a few weeks ago she started acting completely differently towards that thing. She used to just kind of ignore it. I think it got her one night, and now anytime if it gets within five feet, she's moving away from it. She's cowering. She's trying to hide behind my feet. Kind of a thing. I just snook up on her while she was asleep or something. I think so, which is sad?
08 Speaking of sad, Jake Paul is plotting a career transition to football. No boy, Oh God, just when you thought he couldn't get any dumber. Twenty nine year old boxer, using air quotes there, has expressed a serious desire to play as a slot receiver in the NFL. He initially stated. That he thought he could just go and immediately just kind of try out and make the teams of the likes of the Cleveland Browns or even our Dallas Cowboys. Now, don't get me wrong, Jerry Jones loves a show and if there's one team that might entertain it on some level, and see the Cowboys being one of them, because it's gonna draw eyeballs. But a shred of reason entered into Jake Paul's delusional brain and he thought, you know what, pro team probably gonna want some tape on me first, So I'm gonna go walk on to the Stanford football team to get some reps in and then I can, you know, go for the draft. Do you not have to enroll at the universities anymore to play football?
34 To play, actually, I mean no, you have to be a I mean, to play is one thing to practice. I guess you don't, especially if it's in this spring summer. But he's talking about walking on the team and have actually playing, So I mean you're gonna have to enroll in the school. That's the one part of the story. I have not seen an answer to you yet, because you know Jake Paul's justification for this. You know, I played high school football. And I think I can go pro even though he's almost thirty and he's still suffering a broken jaw in the last boxing match he had. Well, he's not exactly. And I looked up at you know, he's six' one two fifteen, not exactly slot receiver body type, and I have never seen anything out of him that even resembles speed.
26 No, quite the opposite in fact. Yeah, But to answer your question, especially with the NIL and you know, players that like, let's say they graduate early and they still have a year of eligibility, maybe you can now without because they're actually talking about, you know, one of the big things now with the transfer portal, NIL and everything else they have been talking about, especially in basketball, of you have NBA. Because NBA you can go in the draft after one year. And they're like, well, there's a lot of guys. Let's say they don't make it an NBA, they still have eligibility left for college, so they can come back to college and play.
07 That would be interesting. That's that is, that's like the new one of the new things that they're trying to do. And I guess, you know, look, when enough money is involved, anything is possible. But I still question the part of in order to play a college sport, isn't the big gate keeping The big issue that isn't the big obstacle for a lot of athletes is can you be enrolled? Will you be admitted into that school? Well, there's a reason why Stanford, Vanderbilt, Harvard, Rice, Northwestern, these highly you know, these great academic schools don't do well in very well in sports most of the time.
56 Is because you have to get in first right and get into their standards, not the bare minimum of a lot of state schools and everything else. We're not talking about you have to get at eight hundred on your SAT. No, you probably have to get a fourteen hundred on your SAT to get into Stanford. At minimum minimum. Like I mean, look, if you're a good enough football player, you can play at Texas State if you just get your name right on your SAT. But if you're trying to get into Stanford, you're going to have to do a lot more than that. And I thought the age upper age limit for NCAA was twenty nine.
37 I don't know what there's a limit on that, because I've heard of guys in their thirties. I want to say there was a guy that might have been in his forties who went back trying to play college football. Now, granted I think that was like D through or D two or something, but still there. Used to be an age limit, a top end age limit. But again everything has changed so much and with nil the money as so so screwed up. Like I'm all, I have always been all for players getting compensated. It is ridiculous that you have this enormous, multi billion dollar business built on the on the bodies of college athletes that they didn't get anything, no insurance, no nothing, even going back to especially what started all of this was name image likeness for EA Sports, for the foot, for the college football game. Yeah, and but the NC double A, as it always does, drop the ball, screwed it up, and as they always do, they're now looking to Congress, going, please save us, because we don't want to have to make these stuff decisions.
41 Which is why. I keep hoping that a group of schools will get together and give the NC DOUBLEA the double finger and go, you know what, we don't need you anymore. We're gonna go over here and do our own thing. Eat me. Fascinating, So would it be like collegiate sports without the college, or just completely set up your own staying completely separate of the n C Double A governing body. Just start something new with that that actually has enforceable rules and makes sense. The n C Double A is is the most backward organization and it has been forever. Uh, they will they will turn a blind eye to some things and then they'll crack down on others. There is no like, there's one statement. Basically there is no precedent in the n C Double Ay. They say they look at everything at it with a unique perspective, which is total bs.
40 Like some of the letters in NCAA could be national corruption. Yeah you know, I mean arbitrary association Like the. Se SEC has been paying players for decades. It long knows it. Listen, no one will say it, but they had a meeting every year of the SEC schools where they basically put a salary cap on different players and said that that's where the whole, the whole cam Newton fiasco started with, is that Auburn broke the salary cap. Basically, oh god, that's hysterical. And I mean it, it's not like so that was the deal was all right, We're not going to pay this person more than this amount. We're all so and they all for the most part abide it by the rules.
26 And it does make sense. I mean just just straight up common sense. It makes sense because. Otherwise, why would you have all these kids from other states out of nowhere saying, like, God, you know what, I love war Eagle. I hadn't even heard of it. But then when you get you know, ten twenty fifty thousand dollars dropped off at your front door, all of a sudden, You're like, yeah, isn't going to Alabama. But this is in the eighties. We're talking about one hundred quarter million, half million. I'm just saying now i'number is much lower. I can be bought. You can give me five grand and a trip to RBS.

The song You're So Vain that she is most famous for is about anyone. But guy that played Dick Tracy Warren Baty, Warren Batty. That is correct, that was supposedly who that song was about, or in our case an old program director Carly Simon eighty one. That actually would be any number of them. But other birthdays. Today, Busy Phillips is forty seven. She is best known for the TV show Freaks and Geeks Cougar Town opposite of.
38 Hang On Friends Courtney Cox. Thank you, said Monica from Friends, and apparently she has a very candid social media presence. So good for her. Busy Phillips forty seven. How so, I just I don't get the attraction whatever I've. Don't find her that entertaining. She's an actress. I know her sister I think is also a musician and an actress. It's Bju Phillips. Like the Phillips family, I guess is some sort of a Hollywood something. I forget, like what their lineage is. I think they've got a famous parents.
18 The same line of Wilson Phillips is like Mama's and the Papas and then. Oh maybe maybe they're maybe yeah, maybe they're part of the Wilson phillips the Phillips of the Wilson Phillipses. Interesting. You know George Michael oh Well. Today's his birthday. If he was still alive, he'd be sixty three. But rip to him. George Orwell also passed away. Another fame iss George. He passed away in nineteen fifty. Everyone loves to quote him lately, which is fascinating because everyone's pointing the George Orwell finger all over the place. Other birthdays today One of the great NBA players, Dick kimb Matumbo.
01 God, he's dead too. This is sad. This is a sad day. I didn't know that he would have been sixty today. He died two years ago, twenty twenty four. One of the greatest shot blockers of all time. Great commercial, which one when neither one didn't he do? Uh? I think it was a Geico commercial, like. Going around swatting everything. Yeah, with the two guys like that were playing. Then they'd start off and then it'd be like, you know, to Kim Babatumbo, like blocking a shot or whatever. I swear, I think you're right now, I think you're right. I think you got it. Other birthdays today, two more. I'm saving the best for last. Linda Cardalini is fifty one opposite Busy Phillips. She is also known for the TV show Freaks and Geeks. Beyond that, she's also known for Dead to me Er. She also played Velma in the live action Scooby Doo films. She's also Missus Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is a Hawkeye's wife.
03 Linda Cardellini is fifty one today. Uh and. Ricky Gervais, comedian actor, absolute brilliant roaster of Hollywood. He is sixty five today. He's the creator of the original Office Out of the UK, host of multiple Golden Globes telecasts and a lot of those involved roasting the celebrities right to their faces. And you've never watched Afterlife? Have you? I have not. I've heard great things about it. I did watch if some of the episodes of a was it extras? That was a UK show that he did. He plays you know.
46 Extra actors, a struggling actor and they play extras in these TV shows. I saw some of those in those shows are so good. But yeah, Trey Afterlife is one that you keep telling me I need to watch it. Yeah, it's it's interesting, it's h first season is good, second season is better, third season. Is absolutely fantastic. But if you like his comedy and dry British humor, it's it's great. He's phenomenal along with Stephen Marchant, Marchant Merchant, Merchant, Merchant. Those two guys are the ones that did the office in the UK. I'm also a big fan of that guy.
28 I think he's phenomenal. It's phenomenal writer, really great actor as well. The tall, skinny guy with the dark glasses. English. He had his own show too, who was called Hello Ladies. Also very good. Okay, there's not as many things in America that he's known for. He's a guy. If if you saw a photo of him, you'd be like, oh, yeah, that guy. If you watched Modern Family regularly when they do their trip to Vegas, he was like the in room concierge had a guest spot there that was really funny, really really talented guys. So happy birthday to Ricky Gervais. He is sixty five today. All right, Jerry, I am going to do somewhat of I'm not going to do my ultimate best because I don't want to yell, but I'm going to channel a little bit of Willem Dafoe and Boondock Saints here.
17 Are you ready? Absolutely, it was a pickle fight. I don't even think Tree's going to get that, but it's from Boondocks thanks. A Florida woman is facing felony charges after an alleged postgame pickleball. Dispute turned violent. Police in Saint Augustine, Florida, say forty seven year old Michelle Banister repeatedly struck a fifty year old man in the head with a pickleball paddle. Uh. This was during a This was during an argument involving her son. This left the victim bloodied with facial injuries.
00 Sigators say there was no immediate threat to justify this attack. She was arrested later released on eight thousand dollars bond. All of this is pretty surprising, right mm, But wait, there's more in this pickle brawl. She has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. So, if you were wondering, is this pickleball paddle a deadly weapon? Yes, at least in Florida. In addition to that, She was also charged with giving police a false nape. Oh.
40 I hope the new the Instiller movie that's coming out, but it's called The Dink about Pickleball. I hope it is. I hope he does it, you know, much the same way the Dodgeball. I really hope. It's good Man's Dodger wrench Man. There. I have, I'm I have, I have, I have. Oh, I'm worried. I want that movie to be so good. It's got the opportunity to channel some of those early two thousands films that we are so missing these days, things like a Dodgeball or super Bad. And I feel like, if someone can do it, Ben Stiller has a great shot.
22 And on the back of Pickleball. Oh yeah, I have high hopes. I am cautiously optimistic. A A I ripped Horn in there. Yeah, I don't even know. If you need to AI, you can just dig him up and he'd just be he'd be ready to go. I've been going back and watching some of I've been on an old HBO series Kick, and I've been watching Larry Sanders Show and Artless, and both were brilliant. Those are great shows. Man, But ripped Horn God, God, love them. That man. That man was a goddamn hero. He was a legend. He was a treat to Hollywood underrated show.
09 At least. This was in kind of my wheelhouse whenever I'd go to my. Dad's house because he actually had HBO, or if it was an HBO free weekend. Remember the show Dream on m I do. It was like a single guy New York City. It was pre sex in the City. I think his name was Mike or something. That's one of the shows I remember, and one of the reasons I liked it is not surprising because it usually had some boobs in it. Shock. Yeah. Yeah, that was big for me too, and it was. The problem is, though, when you get those HBO free weekends and you're at the height of puberty, when you start hearing that TV static noise and you start getting a stiffy.

24 Sorry, give me a second. I ran over my toe with your office chair. Yes, right over my pinky toe. And that is stage one work from home problem. Okay, I'm good. Sure, it's pinky toes. Pinky toes are every man's weakness. Mmm. I think that's one of the things that. All the Marvel heroes overlooked With Thanos, had they just you know, through a bed frame in front of Thanos's bare feet, might have saved a lot of lives. Oh, that reminds me. I thought about you this morning, Tray. Uh. I'm trying to remember exactly what the context was.
10 There was a conversation we were having on the show earlier this week, and it reminded me of something sort of like you see like the stickers in the shirts after Avengers end game, people saying Thanos was right. God, you and I were talking about something this week. What the hell was it? And I thought, oh, Tray is like our Thanos. What was that? Masking massage, gun eyeballs. Lived together? First, Transportation Security Administration, ranch dressing warning, the therapy ferrets, the sad Nipples syndrome, It's been a good week, The toilets of Tomorrow, cleaning without a Permit.
55 That was it. It was the cleaning without a Permit. One of the cutaways in one of the Marvel movies is where like one of the end credit scenes is when Thanos says, all right, I just have to do it myself, and he sticks his hand in the Infinity Gauntlet and then you know, that's that's the end of it, right. That was just one of those cut scenes in one of the earlier films when We really still had no idea. Had we never read the comics. Who this guy really was? Who Thanos? I think I was at the end of Avengers. Yeah, it was one of those that were very soon after that. Yeah. And and so the reason I thought of you, Trey was because the guy in England, who is an environmental lawyer, was so fed up by his basically his local environmental agency not cleaning up this river area that he'd been demanding for like five years.
47 It's there the UK's environmental agency. The federal, so it wasn't the local, the big federal. So you have this UK environmental lawyer who was fed up with their frontal agency not cleaning up, not doing its job, and he. Has been applying for permits for years to try and do this. Yeah, he'd been trying to get this thing cleaned up, and then eventually he says, effet, I'll do it myself. And for some reason, I was driving this morning and I thought, oh, it's kind of like Pintano says, I'll do it myself, trays up the same mindset. I will ask permission left and right, do this, do this, do this, but if you don't do it, by God, I will do it myself. Feels like a stretch now, but honestly, that's your your you know.
36 And yeah, he'd been trying to do the government's job for years and they wouldn't give him a permit, So then he does it himself, and then finally he goes ahead and does it, and now they're threatening prison. Yeah. And part of the reason why they say that is because not just because he did it without a permit, but because he didn't do it with I guess they're worried that he dug up so much track by dredging this river bed. They thought that maybe he had over dredged it, causing a flood risk. Yeah. I mean, it's not like he didn't have a dredge out there, just the way they were doing it handheld stuff. He took out so much. He took out two hundred bags of garbage of this place. And they're way now that yeah, it might the waterflow might increase so much that it causes a flood risk.
25 We needed those trash bags, We needed all that garbage in there. Yeah, you low down the flow of water, that would make sense. We put that in there on purpose. You don't want to say that out loud and honestly, when you go back and you look at Danos's argument, he has a point. When he's in the movie, he's talking about, look there we have planets. You know, people are going hungry because there's not enough resources to go around. There's too many of us. So you know, half of you go away and everything's beautiful. Now I've cleaned everything up. You're welcome. So a lot of people when they really thought about it, or maybe it's because you reach a certain age and you're like, I'm not exactly anti Captain America, but Thanos had a point.
13 Anyway, Trey, you are are. A Thanos and the UK is just stupid. I don't know how many people necessarily argue on that front. A lot of Britains would the fact that it's stupid. No I meant, I said, I don't think you're gonna find a lot of people arguing against that. Oh yeah, all right. I don't know if this is necessarily stupid, but I am intrigued. Ultra black scientists in China have developed a new car paint that is so dark it looks like a black hole on wheels. This new ultra black paint absorbs more than ninety nine point nine percent of all visible light. Because it reflects absolutely zero light. Any car coded in it loses its three dimensional shape and turns a normal vehicle into a flat silhouette where you can only see the headlights and the tires.
17 Into a shadow. Yes, which is strangely familiar to me, because I knew a guy like that in high school. He was very, very, very dark skinned. His name was Victor. It wasn't a game that any of the white players did in the locker room. This was this was created by fellow black players in the locker room. Their game like you know how his kids, you played Where's Waldo? My high school football team, we played Where's Victor? The other guys in the team, the other black guys in the team, would turn off the lights in the locker room and then we had to play Where's Victor. Every so often he would open his eyes or smile to see if we could see you. That's how dark Victor was.
09 And to his credit, I mean this was the nineties, he took it all in stride. We had fun with it. One of the weirdest games to this point in my life, one of the weirdest games I have ever played in my life? Where's Victor? And that is all I can think of when I hear about China having an ultra black paint ninety nine point nine percent. Absorbing light. Well, they had that big thing about vant To black not too long ago, which was the black that that was the first pigment to achieve the blackest black color. It was the first. It was the first non almost purely non reflective paint that was ever made. It was called Vanta black, and it was just a matter of time before they figured out how to gloss it and.
54 Put it on a vehicle. Or maybe it's not even gloss maybe it's a Matt finish as well, which I mean, yeah, it'd have to be. So it's like, what was the was it the Matt black stuff that and and some other colors as well that had like that Matt coating on it that you could get on vehicles. I'm not even sure if that Matt finish. Yeah, I'm not even sure if that's as trendy as it was a handful of years ago. I occasionally see it, but. Well, it's an actual Matt finish is super expensive. Now people were doing like the wraps on their cars with the matt Finish that it was a lesser price. Yeah, you don't see it as much, and I think a lot of it is.
34 Just because it is so damn expensive and it's much harder to clean. It also looks really stupid on a Nissan Versa, but I've seen that. But I will say I am I am definitely intrigued by an ultra black paint that absorbs ninety nine point nine percent of all the light around it. I saw a photo of it, and you know this is it's on it's it's on a computer, so it's a very you know, low resolution version of it. But it really does look like an outline. Of a shadow of an SUV at a beach is what one photo I saw. It's all it's kind of creepy looking, but it's kind of cool. Also, I think you would have some serious military applications.
20 I always remember the military is twenty years ahead, so if it's hitting the market, they've had it. They've had this, we've advanced beyond this now, so we'll let the consumer have it for a little while. You're right, That's how we got hummers. Eventually they were like, you can have this now. We already have some better stuff. And that's probably about the time they. Got they got we got humbers because the military goes, we know what pieces of shit they are here. Have fun. There's a bunch of ex military mechanics that need work here. We'll release hummers to the general public and. Will help the job economy for veterans. Keep that in mind.
01 Also when you get into like drone hobbying, like what was it one of the pilots that got shot down and Iran was talking about some crazy jellyfish drones that Iran had used that they had never seen before that. I'll come for China. Yeah, now, all right, that'll do it for us this week Inside the Treehouse. Unless you are a Treehouse super Plus subscriber Patreon dot com slash Treehouse on air. Next up, we are going in to do the super Plus episode. If this is your last show of the week with us Inside the treehuse thank you very much for being here.
